“We are on track to hit our completion target, by which time we expect to have the TS16949 standard. We are currently improving the efficiency of our R&D and production processes. This ultimately means better service for our customers,” he says.

Sue Parry's chief role, as Consumer and Coil Team Leader, is to provide technical support to the major coil customers, solving any adhesion and colour matching problems that may arise. She is also responsible for the research and development that is fundamental to enhancing the cost effectiveness of Whitford's coatings and the ease of their application onto bakeware and cookware. Sue says of her new appointment at Whitford, “It is great to be in an aggressive, growing new environment and I am looking forward to liasing with our customers and technologists worldwide.”

Sue will work closely with Whitford's other laboratories in countries such as the United States, Singapore, Brazil, Italy and Spain. Sue joins Whitford with 11 years of experience at BASF Coatings, where she worked as a “Coatings Solutions Technologist” for the construction industry. Whitford Plastics manufactures the largest, most complete range of fluoropolymer coatings in the world. Whitford has manufacturing facilities in seven countries, offices in an additional eight countries, a global network of 25 agents and sales in more than 100 countries worldwide.
