Following extensive consumer research and member consultation, the 3rd edition of the RICS HomeBuyer Service (HBR) is now available. The 3rd edition of the practice notes includes: Improvements to the new HBR report format and documentation include: crisp, modern style and reader-friendly design, including use of colour; adoption of colour coded condition ratings; use of plain English; addition of new “What to do next” advice; and a house diagram. The new report is supported by an updated and more in-depth practice note to assist members in undertaking the service. The RICS Homebuyer Survey and Valuation 2005 Service, including practice notes, will be withdrawn from use on 31 December 2009.
