According to Reynolds Porter Chamberlain LLP, the effects of the credit crunch and disputes over valuation of residential and commercial property are blamed for the increase in professional negligence claims. The number of major claims last year rose to twenty-five from one the previous year, as lenders attempted to recoup the billions they lost during the recession.
