The DEK 880 is the new low cost screenwash system from DEK Albany (http://www.dek.com), for use with non-cfc solvents. Featuring convenient integral extraction, the screenwasher is self-enclosed and includes a dual action spray system. Cycle time and pressure are programmable.

The optional bolt-on drier ensures cleaned screens are free of solvent before storage.

Panels up to 800mm × 790mm are accepted and an integral basket holds squeegees and other screen printing tools for cleaning.

The DEK 880 has been approved for use with 1.1.1 Trichloroethane substitutes, and has a stainless steel solvent chamber. DEK Albany technical staff can advise on the choice of solvents. Sump capacity is 40 litres, and the system features an easy fill and drain facility. The solvent is sprayed onto both sides of the screen, with residues falling to the base for collection by the filter basket. A 10 micron filter collects any residues held in suspension. Access and screen loading are quick and easy, with an operator lid safety lock and start button for safe operation of the system.
